I love to do readings from my book followed by conversation, and as appropriate, book signings, and sales. I have shared my book with high school students (middle school fine too), teachers, elders, at libraries, museums (art and science), bookstores, specialty shops, art shows, farmer’s markets, women’s groups, and Indian Pow Wows. I am open to other audiences as well.

Below is an example of a lovely book event that was planned for me ~

Reception, Reading, and Workshop
March 20 and March 21, 2009
The Fredericksburg Athenaeum
109 Amelia Street, Downtown Historic Fredericksburg, Virginia

FRIDAY, MARCH 20 at 7:30 PM
There will be a reception for Karen Tootelian who will read from her book, The Chief and I.

SATURDAY, MARCH 21 from 1–4 PM
Karen will facilitate a conversation about the intrinsic value of rural Virginia. The author will share personal thoughts about her relationship with the Mattaponi River—and invites individuals to explore their own ideas about Virginia ecology.

This event will also feature a special exhibit of photographs of the Mattaponi River by Warren Mountcastle.
